Oysterland

Oysterland changes the view that plastic is a foreign object in the marine environment, converting what once was waste into a tool of conservation and preservation
Concept
The Oysterland basket is made from panels of recycled HDPE, mainly sourced from plastic objects found in the ocean. hese panels are fabricated using a process that members of the oyster farming community can make in their workshops, from the acquiring of the waste material to the grinding and extrusion of the panels. For years, oyster farmers have employed multiple types and brands of baskets, each with its distinct properties. Nevertheless, independent of price, model or country of origin, the tool used most in the day to day of this industry for repairs is the zip tie.
